On the occasion of the second edition of the French-speaking International Doctoriales in Media Studies, three members of the AAA project team will give presentations coordinated based on our data from guided tours at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Lille.
Julien Thiburce (UMR 5191 ICAR – CNRS) and Gian Maria Tore (University of Luxembourg) will give a presentation entitled “Experience of works and their digital (re)mediation in a guided tour situation” on Friday September 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The intervention will allow us to discuss the nuances of terminology and practices that emerge within the vast framework of “studies of public reception” of museums, particularly through the notions of experience, participation and commitment (White, 2022).
Lisa Paillussière (Université Lumière Lyon 2) will give a presentation entitled “The museum visit experience challenged by wandering: consequences for the project of support and personalization by means of a system of increase in works of art” on Tuesday, September 12 from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. She will present part of her thesis proposing to add to the behaviors of proximal, pendulum, sliding and punctum visits (Veron & Levasseur, 1983) a fifth behavior which we will call “wandering journey” and which problematizes the limits of supporting the museum experience from a critical perspective of the “classic” format of the guided tour.
