The Augmented Artwork Analysis (AAA) project aims to produce an application on a tablet allowing an augmented perception and interpretation of art seen in the museum (from paintings from the 15th to the 19th century).
This prototype highlights different layers of an art work: the plastic organization, with its textures, colors and composition; the figurative and narrative dimension, where the retrouve of the characters, of the paysages and of the objects that participate in multiple recitations; the aesthetic dynamism, which enters into the senses, the sensitivity and the affects of the spectators. This is the idea of creating an augmented art work.
This innovative instrument also allows you to weave the lines between the tables displayed in situ and the works present in other museums. The aim is to observe deeply the filiations and dialogues between the images, such as the reprise and the citation, the critique or the parodies. This is the idea of creating a complementary museum.
In accordance with two ways of observation — direct, face a tableau in the museum, and augmented by an image gallery —, visitors can learn, discover and play with the works, guided visits or books, educational meetings or research, at three partner museums.
