What is the \u00ab\u00a0Game Project\u00a0\u00bb ? <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The website \u00ab\u00a0Game Project<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb puts together our different projects or project participations, data, findings, publications, workshops etc. concerning the study of gaming interactions. We are working within the framework of multimodal conversation analysis<\/strong> and interactional linguistics<\/strong>, focusing mostly on board games<\/strong> and video games<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

About us<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We (Heike Baldauf-Quilliatre<\/strong> and Isabel Col\u00f3n de Carvajal<\/strong>) are both linguists, passionate in gaming and analyzing gaming situations. After several individual steps in the direction of \u00ab\u00a0gaming interaction research\u00a0\u00bb, our collaboration started in 2015 with a common presentation at the conference \u00ab\u00a0Revisiting participation\u00a0\u00bb in Basel (Switzerland). From this moment, we decided to join our forces.<\/p>\n

Corpus and projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We have collected, transcribed and partially annotated different situations of board and video game interactions. The data have been gathered and analyzed in several research projects<\/a><\/strong>. Individually, we also participated or participate in other projects related to gaming.<\/p>\n
