This chapter presents an account of the process of applying Thinking At the Edge (TAE) in the course of an ongoing micro-phenomenological research project named “ExCoNat” (Investigating the Experience of Connection with Nature). ExCoNat is about the perception of the environment as responsive, and why it is important to find words to talk about such experiences as the encounter with a forest. Overall, the TAE process was deeply involving, and it contributed to uncovering the values that stand at the heart of research for each of us. It also invited us to a somewhat different analysis of our data.
