Son invité en sera Jonathan Osborne (Graduate School of Education, Stanford University, Chair of the PISA Science Expert Group).
Intitulé de la conférence : Contemporary Challenges in Science Education: Developments in the PISA Science Framework for 2025
In the presentation, I will lay out what are the major challenges currently facing science education. The growth of the internet, for instance has led to a devaluing of expertise making an understanding of the criteria for establishing trust in scientific knowledge an essential element of any science education. Likewise, the current climate crisis is making education for environmental literacy ever more important. This talk will offer an overview of what these challenges are perceived to be and how the expert group is responding as it drafts the next science (not science literacy) framework for the PISA assessment in 2025.
